The number was revealed on my callin 1741. I'm sure this was a phishing scam. Caller tells me that my internet connection is at risk and will be disconnected today, but I can avoid this by pressing '1' to speak to a BT engineer. I take no action at this point and after a while of silence the line is disconnected. I have had many of such calls and the first time I pressed '1' and spoke to 'a BT engineer' who wanted to take over my desktop remotely. I disconnected. This has been going on now intermittently for a good six months. The calls come from a different number each time, this one from the Chester area, others from Essex.
