The caller claimed to be from a company dealing with accident compensation. He told me I was involved in a road collision and asked me if I was still waiting for the compensation to be paid. He knew my name and post code and asked me to confirm. I gave him a made up post code and car registration number. I don't drive and have never never been in a car accident, but just played his game. He also asked for the other car's registration number, I said I haven't got it at the moment as I wasn't home. Then he said they will help me to get the compensation paid to me after I give them all the details tomorrow. He was very polite and not pushy at all, which could get an unaware person very easily. There was a noise on the back ground like a call centre.
