Called and informed me that he "was the law and there had been a traffic incident in Hawick". Because of the callers attitude and manner of speech I asked if this was a scam call. Would not give me an incident number, when asked for this again and unless he gave it to me I would put the 'phone down. He aggressively "replied not before I do" and slammed the 'phone down. I reported this call to the Police.
