Scammers who try to say your BT internet is not working properly. I actually ran a speed test that showed my speed was fine and they asked what my ping time was and I said 6ms. They said that was no good and should be more than 42ms! That would mean my link was running slower, not faster, as the lower the value the less the delay is on your connection. They then directed me to a page that was a spoof of a BT page with a bunch of links that they ask you to click on. This will download Teamviewer software which is a remote access utility. Once this software is installed (I didn't) they can then gain access to your machine and install all sorts of nasty software to capture all your bank details etc.

When I picked up the phone it sounded like there was someone there but they didn’t speak. This was the number given after dialling 1471. On dialling the number the message stated it was not recognised. I checked and tried again but still not recognised.
