The call starts with an Indian accented person stating that they are from BT and my router is making connections that are unauthorised, The caller goes on to ask me to sit in front of my PC and they will send me IP addresses to my screen. (BTW, I have never met a "Kevin" with an Indian Accent and have travelled extensively in India...a country I love) The phone went dead at that point. I suspect that if I were a little more "worried" or if (perhaps) I was using BT, the call may have gone forward and started to "con" me into giving access to my router or my PC. I am just off to access my router and check what connections have been made, but will re-start my router first....just in case!
