Called on 14 July 2016. Similar to David S. I asked if the call was from the UK and said I was registered with TPS. They hung up.

Missed call on answer machine,tried to ring back, but message saying no. not recognised before the number had even finished dialling.....definitely dodgy.

Called me 18-6-2016. Claiming to be Accident Helpline about the accident I had. As soon as I mentioned I was registered with the TPS they hung up. SCAM. I checked the number very carefully as the format is unusual......... "Oftel records show that numbers starting 02578 963 are protected from allocation. Where numbering capacity has been withdrawn from service, the block or code is sterilised for a period, typically 2 years. Alternatively the Oftel Numbering Unit might protect capacity for a limited period, to avoid dialling errors into similar codes."
