I received this call 01159811857 15/3/17, I don't answer any calls I don't know who its from I am registered with TPS also with BT caller protection so why did this call get passed the so called BT vetting of calls to my number? please take action against this cold caller ASAP

I was cold called this morning by an Indian accented speaker who was probing for 'problems' on my computer. I disabled my external internet link and followed his instructions. He led me through to a command screen in windows ( Windows key and R pressed together.) At the prompt in the run window which opened he requested that I typed cmd. This opens a command window. He then had me run eventvwr by typing this instruction at the C: prompt. Event_viewer is an official Windows program which can be useful when the machine is suffering from crashes. That it contains entries of 'error' is fairly normal and the official guidance from Windows is to ignore these unless the machine has real problems. He also asked me to type in netstat at the C: prompt. Net_statistics reveals what the computer is connected to, and if you read the screen contents you would reveal your IP address with risk of a more sustained attack. He provided telephone number 08000314014 and my telephone indicated that he was speaking from the Nottingham area code number 01159 811857. He told me that I would not be able to ring the 01159 number. I was also invited to connect to www.fix2x.com. Shortly after this the call was terminated. I think this is a phishing attack since it was initiated from a cold call.

I am registered with TPS and I received this call 13:18hrs today 01/03/17 I did not answer as my caller display showed unknown number, I checked this number and it showed this number was allocated to BT? I tried calling this number "no response it cuts out immediately" I believe this was a cold call, please take action
