Foreign sounding caller telling me my computer had been hacked. Told him I did not have a computer but he then started arguing so I hung up. Judging by the previous reports it is another scam variation

Foreign sounding caller trying to tell me my computer was downloading viruses. I said that was impossible as I didn't have a computer. He then said he was after a named individual (me) but I said they'd got the wrong person. He apologised and hung up

Been having several of these calls -same number. Answered only to have a female start laughing at me and slamming the phone down I am a pensioner and find it frightening.,

I have been receiving calls from this number for several weeks. I don't answer it as it isn't recognised by us. if it goes on to answerphone they always cut off. I note it is a Barnsley number

I missed a call early evening yesterday but 1471 gave number as 01226490001. Another at lunchtime today (11 Aug) when a man, after a delay, began to indistinctly speak - realised it was a nuisance call & put phone down - surprise, surprise the same number! What use the TPS I say.

been receiving calls from this number for over 5 weeks some times three calls a day, we do not answer them as its not a recognised number on our phone, but its a nuisance keep having to check our phone

Been having silent calls from this number for several days. This afternoon some one finally spoke asking me if I was still having trouble with unwanted phone calls. I refused to give any information. The male voice sounded very much as though he had his nose held. Low and behold when I checked the call was from 01226490001. 15 minutes later I get another obvious call centre call from the same number.
