This call, purportedly from BT, like some others I have had, was an automated call that told me in a strong male voice that unless I returned the call, my internet and phone connections would be disconnected today. When such calls are 'live' I tell the caller that BT do not cold-call their customers and to get themselves a decent job. they hang up very quickly. Yet these types of threatening calls are great nuisance, knowing that some people will be intimidated by such calls and get themselves into a stew about it and respond, and then get drawn into a mire. They need stopping.
