Caller with indian accent typical spam call computer generated dial then delay when gets passed through to next available con artist pretending to be from bt about my internet told him i knew he was a scammer and he was only trying to get money from me at that point he hung up genuine bt calls show up as coming from 08000 numbers

Asian sounding woman called my mother (an octogenarian) and said it was BT calling and she should get her tablet, my mother wasn't sure and asked them to call back tomorrow. Mother has asked me to go round tomorrow in case they do call! I love winding these people up! It's about time the gov stepped in and sorted these callers out!

Daniel Smith from an office supposedly in london called me from BT Service Centre to say my internet had changed from private to a public status. I said I was busy and could he call me back. He called back and said 85% was fixed but I now needed to go into Google and to find my IP address and also to then go back into Google and type in a word - can’t remember what it was - but by this time I was already smelling a Phish! When I said to him that I was happy it being Public, he said that I would not be able to go back to BT and blame them if something happens.

"Rose Wilson" from BT. Hard to understand her accent. I asked her the address. Then her phone number. She gave an 0800 number. I asked if she was calling from that number and she admitted she wasn't. After a while she complained I was wasting her time! and put the phone down.

Called me saying from BT Internet and that my internet was not working properly. I asked them for a number to ring them back on as not expecting call from BT and wanted to check. Woman the told me to shut the f*** up and called me a stupid b**** then hung up

Yes same thing called to say internet was public not private and said they were BT - I asked for a number to call him back, he then went through the whole spiel again - I said You have told me that please can I have a number to call you back - he then said, 67890 and hung up - be careful folks

Same spiel as above. When asked for a device connected to the internet I told her we had a fridge connected to the internet of things - she asked if I was winding her up. I asked if I could give her money to not disconnect me, she said I was a sick woman and disconnected me .....hmmmm!

They called and told me my internet had changed from private to public. They asked what I did on the internet (gambling, online banking, shopping, checking emails etc) I needed to stop using the internet for half an hour and they would call back to confirm it was fixed!

Called telling me that our internet was insecure, that we'd gone from private to public and must take action immediately. When I said I was a receptionist and couldn't leave where I was sitting to access anything the gentleman couldn't get off the phone fast enough!
