same experience as J R quote "Knew my address and postcode, claimed to be from the government refunding hidden bank charges of £3000. Kept asking me to tell him my date of birth. Very strong foreign accent and claimed his name was 'James Taylor'. Said he needed to verify I was the person who the cheque would be sent to through the post. People don't ring you up and offer you a cheque for £3000. " Don't fall for it
